The threat never came to fruition though, with enough pre-orders made to save the album.
Showbread built an underground fanbase in the late 1990s and early 2000s before signing with Tooth & Nail Records in 2004 for the release of their major-label debut, 'No Sir, Nihilism Is Not Practical'. Throughout their career the band has been subject to much controversy among Christian listeners, over their lyrical themes and personal lifestyles.
