Husband and wife duo Trampolines have just released their latest single 'Meet Me Where I'm At'. Louder Than The Music chatted to this Christian EDM/Hip-Hop/Pop band to find out more about their music, their missionary work around the world, and their inspiration for making music.

For those who haven't heard of you before, can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got involved in making music?
Thanks for asking! We are just two kids hollering Jesus over wild beats in as many countries as possible haha! But really, we are Cary and Lane, we got married on a trampoline and spend our time making Pop, Hip-Hop & Edm music and doing missions work around the world. We are stoked on God and want to make music that reflects that. We were in the mainstream pop music industry for a long time as a career and mission field but have now transitioned into intentionally going 100 percent God-focused on everything we do and are loving it.
Tell us about your new single 'Meet Me Where I'm At' and what the inspiration behind it was?
This song is written about our own stories and the stories of all the amazing people we've gotten to connect with around the world. We wrote and produced the song and video while performing and doing mission work in Asia and really got to connect with people from many different backgrounds and stories. People who had survived their villages being burned down by their own countries army, victims of sex trafficking and rape, amazing and beautiful creations of God who had survived things we couldn't possibly imagine. It was amazing to see what God had done in their lives and the story he was telling beyond their hardships.
Do you have plans to release any more music in the near future?
Yes! We some songs and videos already ready for the next release. They will definitely be something new for the Christian music industry and I hope people like them. But the best thing is knowing that they are undeniably us and convey our heart for God and people. Knowing that makes it all worth it, whether a thousand people listen to our music or just Jesus.
What message would you like people to take from your music?
That you can worship God in ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you do! And that what God has done for us and is doing for us is worth jumping up and down out of excitement for. A lot of artists tell say "Be Yourself" but we really want to inspire people to find their message and their purpose in what they are doing and go 100 percent with it.
How would you describe your style of music and what are your influences?
We love so many different styles of music that it is honestly tough for us to finish a song in the same way we started it. We may have a violin, a dubstep bass, a metal scream and sample a piece of bamboo for the snare drum all at the same time. Ultimately we just enjoy having fun and exerting energy whether it's pop, hip-hop, EDM, etc. Influence is a tough question, I think there are a lot of artists out there that could be more intentional with their message and what influence they have. Some of our favorites musically range from Lil Jon to Lecrae, and Hans Zimmer to Family Force 5.
If you could work with any songwriter, who would it be and why?
Jesus. Haha. Sounds funny but how cool would it be to just sit down with that guy for a focused full-day writing session. I'm sure he would be poetic and make us think.
Honestly, if we could get in the studio with Jesus, Justin Timberlake, and Hans Zimmer all at once that would be ideal. As far as whats is realistic it would be really cool to write with Steven Furtick.
How would you define success in your career as an artist?
It's changed a lot recently which has allowed us to be 100 percent ourselves. Success is the journey, not the destination, and we are enjoying the ride. To continue rocking the good news on any stage to any person in any place would be awesome. Also, doing mission work in each place we go with amazing mission organizations and even freelance.
What is your favorite album of all time?
Lane - the one with Sk8er boi by Avril Lavigne on it!
Cary - A Day Without Rain by Enya. The song Only Time was the first song that I ever remember falling in love with.
You're stuck on an island, it's hot, you only have enough battery life left to listen to one song on your phone. What track is it?
Lane - You Make Me Brave by Bethel
Cary - Bohemian Rhapsody because it's 6 whole minutes of a great song.
What does the next year hold for you?
Well, things are so uncertain worldwide right now with this virus and borders being shut down. We were supposed to be playing in Syria and Iraq right now. We hope to do a US tour for the first time in a few years, when things go back to normal, and then praying about the Middle East and a few other places in that part of the world. We will always return to Asia and have a real heart for the amazing people there.
