A Thousand Angry Panthers is the new 4 track EP from Bradley Hathaway, who is new to me and maybe to you. His style is described as Spoken Word/Folk/Indie music and I wouldn't say that is far from being a good description. Bradley exploded onto the music scene three years ago, touring continually all over the place including the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia. He has also toured with bands including The Chariots, BLindside and mewithoutyou.

Bradley exploded onto the music scene three years ago, touring continually all over the place including the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia. He has also toured with bands including The Chariots, BLindside and mewithoutyou.
The majority of the EP was recorded on an acoustic guitar, with Bradley adding his vocals and lyrics to tell you a story through the songs. This is what this man does best, he can with one acoustic guitar, tell you a story, that you want to hear, but also on the other hand tell you a story about pain and suffering that you might not want to hear. The best songwriters do this with ease, they engage you with interesting stories, this is done perfectly on this EP.
The two tracks that really stood out are the last two tracks. Would You Think Less of Me, which is a heartfelt sad song, with a touching story about the pain of life. The track has some beautiful yet clever haunting piano work. The World Is Screaming builds into an epic, powerful cry out of the pain of the world. The lyrics and emotion match the vocals which are sung like the pain is coming out in Bradleys voice. The track then builds and builds with epic guitars and marching drums into something quiet amazing, a track not to be missed.
If you enjoy your songs told in a clever way in the folk/acoustic genre, this EP is well worth having a look out, I personally can't wait to see what comes next from this talented singer/songwriter.
