This album's title, 'The Feast', comes from the verse that Gods people are to "taste and see that the LORD is good!" (Psalms 34:8 ESV) The first track seems to be based on Psalm 34 and encourages the worshipper to feast and be satisfied on the banquet of Gods presence during worship. Jesus taught us to pray for daily bread, and to enjoy Gods word. This song encouraged me to love and seek God with all my heart, soul, mind and strength!

There is a good use of scripture and psalms in the songs and it is good to meditate upon the words / scriptures. My Wife and I found ourselves humming along to the melody long after we listened to it. There are also some deep theological lines which encourages me as so many contemporary worship songs are quite shallow. This is one of the only EPs I have heard which uses the phrases 'Son of God and Son of Man' which Jesus uses for himself and it uses "my redeemer lives" too.
My favourite track is number 2, 'We Will Rise', which is a call for the gathering of corporate worshippers to abide in Christ, and then take the message of Christ to the nations. It makes me want to tell people about Jesus!
As a drummer at heart, I loved the mix of percussion and solid drums used throughout the EP, but it is also gentle enough to enjoy listening to with the whole family in the car. This is what I did with my wife and 2 year old daughter Grace. It is a great EP to turn up loud and drive / worship along to alone, or to have playing nicely in the background on a family drive.
