Despite previously announcing that Irish rock stars U2 hope to release 'Songs Of Ascent', a new album based on the theme of pilgrimage, in 2009, recent comments by lead singer Bono now suggest that this is unlikely to happen. Speaking to the Irish Independent, Bono stated that, whilst the band have nine pieces of music that they feel are really special, the album will only be released if they feel it is as good as their recent release, 'No Line On The Horizon'.
