Leeland Release New Worship Album 'The Great Awakening'

Sep 23 2011

Leeland have released their fourth studio album 'The Great Awakening'. The three-time Grammy and eight-time GMA Dove Award nominated worship band has become one of the most respected and influential voices in worship music since their 2006 debut 'Sound Of Melodies'.

The 11-track 'worship revival experience' was produced by Paul Moak (Third Day, Matt Maher) and features lead singer Leeland Mooring; brother, Jack Mooring on keys and drummer Mike Smith - along with new member (and the Moorings' younger sister and bassist) Shelly Mooring.

"With The Great Awakening, Leeland recaptures the essence of its debut album while delving deeper into its spiritual roots; drawing from the wisdom of theologians including Salvation Army founder, William Booth", says Essential Records.

The new album follows Leeland's 2009 album 'Love Is On The Move'. "We've poured our hearts out into this record, and have very high hopes. God is doing a new thing everywhere and His glory is being poured out on the hearts that are truly hungry for Him. This record is a call for justice and a Great Awakening to the glory of God waiting for all who would believe in Jesus Christ!", said Leeland.
