Ooberfuse, Galactus Jack & Baliva In Philippines Typhoon Relief Gig
British Filipino Synthpop band Ooberfuse are holding a night of live music and entertaining speeches in aid of the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan. Also performing at the event are award winning British DJ and producer Galactus Jack, London-based hip hop artist Baliva, plus special guest speaker John Sweeney from the BBC's Panorama.
The event is free and will be held on 30th November 2013, 7pm at AAA Archangel, Kensington.
"I was born in Tacloban City, the ground zero of the recent Typhoon Haiyan disaster", explains Ooberfuse lead singer Cherrie Anderson.
"It is heartbreaking to hear that thousands have died, and many have been displaced. What remains of my aunty's house is being used as an evacuation centre for those desperate to leave in need of urgent medical attention. Even if we are physically on the other side of the world, we want to be able to do something here in London to help in our own little way."
Hal St John of Ooberfuse adds, "We welcome everyone to the event and admission is free. 100% of all proceeds raised will be donated to the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan."
