Switchfoot Reveal Studio Insight As They Record Tenth Album

Mar 18 2016

Popular San Diego rock band Switchfoot have revealed an insight into the recording of their forthcoming tenth studio album, due for release this summer.

"We've been working for months on our tenth album here in our studio. Here is a look at our progress, our struggle and a peek at what its like to spend the day recording with the band", said the band as they revealed a new video (see below).

"So much has happened since we recorded our first album. Things were simpler then and now much more complex.

We have families that have grown, we are a band that has grown. There is no way back. And even if I could go back in time if it meant that I would lose what I've learned along the way I'm not sure that I would go back and change anything.

This last year was a messy year. It was a struggle to get to this point. I began to think of the political situation. I think of where we are as a nation, where we are as a planet. We're facing problems now that have grown bigger than I want to think about- but beauty has grown as well. And this is where hope lives. In the messy places.

It's been an unbelievable season of growth and friendship, too. We've had some amazing visitors pop in and out: Donald Miller, Darren King (Mutemath), Echosmith & Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors. All of which, the beauty and the struggle have helped sculpt Album #10. Hope you enjoy this behind-the-scenes look of our recording process."
