Following on from the success of their first two kids albums 'Way of the Brave' and 'Lift Off', Audacious Church released 'God's Awesome Rescue Plan'.
The 13 track album is filled with practical and inspiring lyrics to empower children in their everyday lives, as catchy melodies and infectious beats deliver the message of faith and hope in a fun way for all. Many of the songs are based on their original regular Sunday curriculum, as written by the !Audacious Kids team.

Let's be honest, I don't really think I was the best person to write a review of a kids album. Not that I couldn't enjoy it, but I am not who the album is for.
So as I have two sons, aged three and one, I thought they could do the review for me. So I played the album and put them in front of the computer to type away. I learnt two lessons doing this, the three year old doesn't type fast enough and I think the one year old has ended up selling some of my stuff on eBay.
Honestly - what I stared to do was play the album during breakfast time, in the car, while playing in the kids play room. Personally for me I enjoyed listening to this album while playing with the son's Fireman Sam action figures (other action figures are available) or building towers for my one year old to push over. I loved the energy and the excitement of the album. It is an enjoyable listen with great words, modern upbeat music and interesting themes.
But my plan was to see which tracks caught the attention of the kids. Did they want certain tracks played more than others? Did it catch their attention? What did they think when I asked them about certain songs. So here my friends is a review from the three year old.... (my one year old can say mamma, ta, dad, that one, and banana, I'm not sure these words would work as a review for any of the tracks).
In general the songs 'Gods Awesome Rescue Plan', 'I'm A Hero' and 'Slam Dunk' got big approval from the kids. Those tracks got asked to be repeated more than others.
Of course this doesn't really help you . But in general I think they enjoyed it. In all honesty this album is for kids older than a three year old. With tracks like Promise, Sunday School Mash Up II & He's Good taking inspiration from the music in the charts, this will work for kids who like to listen to Radio 1, but want tracks with great messages. What I would say is my kids enjoyed it and didn't want to turn it off and I think that speaks volume.
On a side note If you went to Sunday School during the 70s & 80s then the track Sunday School Mash Up II with its dance beat but a collection of classic Sunday School song lyrics is a real treat.
