Speak Brother Release New Single 'Magnesium Burn' With Tour & Album On The Way

Feb 16 2018

Speak, Brother are releasing their new single 'Magnesium Burn' on Friday, February 16th. The track is taken from their forthcoming new album 'Young and Brave', planned for release on Apr 13th 2018.

Boasting a powerful indie-folk-rock sound with subtle hymnal and gospel tones, their story based anthems have drawn comparisons to the likes of Of Monsters and Men, Kodaline and Fleet foxes.

Frontman James Herring says, "This song comes from a deep well of frustration in my life. Fear has kept me contained and depression has weighed me down. I've held myself from saying things, doing things or helping people through fear of not knowing what would happen.

Every day it seems better to just autonomously play it safe, stay afloat and hope something one day changes.

There is this deep longing to just run. Run into the unknown places. Like a child into the fields. I think it's in those most uncomfortable places where we're just about out of control of the outcome, where we really live."

They band are currently on tour with Julien Barbagallo (Tame Impala) and they have their own tour dates in April 2018 (see below) in support of the new album.

Tour Dates:
06/04/18 - Glasgow, The Glad Cafe
07/04/18 - Kings Arms, Manchester
08/04/18 - Marrs Bar, Worcester
13/04/18 - Bristol TBC
14/04/18 - Amersham Arms, London
16/04/18 - Hare and Hounds, Birmingham
