UnMasked Release New Single 'Watch Your Step' From 'Stronger' Album

Apr 17 2018

Rock/Hip-Hop worship team UnMasked have released their latest single 'Watch Your Step', taken from their current album 'Stronger'. The new single (written by Josh and Zer0) speaks to believers as we navigate living a life in Christ, and the real frustrations of failure. As they have historically done over their time on the road, the guys take from their own experiences - witnessing God work through the sharing of testimony of His faithfulness in our own shortcomings.

The theme throughout the song is “Be careful where you walk,” which carries in it so many ways we can help each other as the Body. Zer0 put it this way “this song is about learning from the mistakes of people in front of you, so you aren't doomed to repeat them.”

The chorus of the song speaks from the perspective of someone who has recognized their misstep, while the verses offer the advice to others to take different steps - as not to make the same errors. None of us are perfect, but growth comes from NOT making the same mistakes, and encouraging others to not get bogged down in failure, but accept forgiveness and keep going.

Hailing from the greater Gainesville area in Florida, UnMasked creates a fresh new sound, combining rock and hip-hop with a modern twist. Josh, Jeff, and Zer0 has spent the last few years traveling the Southeastern United States delivering their message alongside national recording artists (including KB, KJ-52, Social Club Misfits, and Seckond Chaynce).

The album combines heavy guitars, EDM, melodic hooks, and the raw delivery of Zer0's rap style - but with a clear message. Since day one, UnMasked has remained focused on sharing a message of identity in Christ; encouraging believers and presenting hope.
