Greg Hudik Releases 'Jesus Got His Headphones On'

Mar 20 2019

Greg Hudik is releasing to Christian Radio his song 'Jesus Got His Headphones On', following the success of his song 'Music's A Religion' that went to number 2 on the Christian Country charts in 2018.

Greg Hudik has been in the music industry for almost 40 years, since the age of 17, when he recorded his first song. In 1986, as an artist, Greg played the very first MTV Spring Break concert series broadcasted from Daytona Beach, FL. MTV's very first spring break concert was viewed by a estimated 80 million people. Greg Hudik recorded his first live record that day on MTV, recorded by John Rosin who recorded Peter Frampton, Bob Seger and Jackson Browne's live records in front of 400,000.

With 6 albums in his career as an artist, all of which are available on iTunes, his extensive recording career has seen Greg's songs recorded by artists such as George Strait. George Strait and manager Erv Woolsey published 63 of Greg's songs while Sony Tree published over 40 songs, with a total of well over 275 published songs.

"I was blessed with writing the first Country Gospel song (I found Jesus On The Jailhouse Floor) about Jesus Christ that George Strait ever recorded and released on the only George Strait record that ever debuted at #1 on the first day of release", explains Greg.

"Billy Graham surprised me with a personal phone call. Man I got chill bumps that ran from my head to my toes because he was my favorite Evangelist since childhood that I truly believed from the first time I ever heard him talk personally knew God. He said, to me that I just wanted to thank you Greg for getting a song in the backdoor for Jesus Christ. He said five million people that had never heard a song about Jesus Christ, on a George Strait record got a dose of Jesus Christ. When Evangelist Billy Graham said I got one in the back door, immediately I released at that time my calling for Our Lord Jesus Christ. Even though there are songs on my records that aren’t Christian like, I reach people with my calling by honoring Our Lord on my records.

Listening to the advice from Billy Graham, to preach in the trenches with my songs in the secular markets, actually reaching out to the one that Jesus Christ preached to, the sinners. I knew as a child that music was my calling. I don’t know how I knew, I just knew. I believe! And have had the patience of Job never giving up and sacrificing every material thing that I’ve owned for this dream that God put in my heart, I believe my legacy is to let everyone know with Faith, Belief and hard work."
