This really isn't a review of sorts it's more of an encouragement to go out and buy this new charity single from Hillsong. The band have created this single as a response to the devastating floods in Queensland, Australia.
The disaster relief appeal in Queensland was launched on the 29th December 2010 to help those affected by the wide spread flooding. At least 30 people have died since early December with tropical storms causing the massive floods on the east coast of Australia.

The disaster relief appeal in Queensland was launched on the 29th December 2010 to help those affected by the wide spread flooding. At least 30 people have died since early December with tropical storms causing the massive floods on the east coast of Australia.
The Queensland Government have already committed $11 million to the appeal to assist the communities and the 200,000 people affected by the floods. To show their support Hillsong have recorded, and released as a download via iTunes, the song 'It Is Well With My Soul' with the money raised from the single helping with the relief effort.
As I said earlier, this isn't a review, it's an encouragement to go out and help support the relief work by buying this great version of a classic song. Reuben Morgan and Ben Field have written a new chorus to go alongside the classic verses which just adds a fresh look at the well known song, don't be alarmed it all works well.
The song begins softly with a atmospheric start and soft vocals, singing the well known lyrics. Along the way, the song is slowly building into a big anthemic finish, with the drums and guitars pushing the song louder and more powerful throughout.
The biggest worry for people who knew this song so well would be the fact that there has been an added new lyric from Reuben and Ben, but for me I thought if fitted perfectly and on the first listen I didn't even know it was the new lyric at it seemed to fit in so well.
It's not going to surprise you, but I have given this charity single 5 out of 5, and ask if you can help this worthy cause in some way. One way could be to buy this single on iTunes. This is a great, fresh version of the song, whilst still keeping the essence of the original.
