"The vision is - what would it sound like if my role models growing up; Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars were Christians - what would their music sound like?" asks Ryan. "I've just launched a crowd-funding campaign to raise £10,000 to produce a 5-track EP of original songs recorded by a full studio band of songs in that style."
"My team is made up of MOBO-award winning musicians and producers who have just worked with Guvna B on his latest release, and artists like Matt Redman and Beth Croft, and we plan to then master the EP in Abbey Road studios in London, with this flavour in mind.
The vision was born out of not only hearing from many people about a real need for more diversity in worship music in the UK, but also for more ethnic diversity in the UK church."
To get an idea of the kind of music that will feature on the EP, Ryan has unveiled a music video (see above) covering Bruno Mars' 'Treasure' combined with Jesus Culture's 'Your Love Never Fails'. To find out more about the album visit the kickstarter page.
