Originally from Denton, TX, he spent much of his early career as a member of local Christian bands playing churches, clubs and bars alike. After many years in the Dallas indie scene, Nuckels relocated to the Washington DC area in 2009 to become a full-time music minister and begin writing and recording modern worship music. Since that time he has released several worship albums and singles. Nuckels currently resides with his wife and 3 children in the Tulsa, OK area where serves as one of the Worship Pastors at BattleCreek Church.
"This song came out of a time last winter when I was really feeling a sense of conviction and resolve to follow Christ, no matter what. A lot of times, people are willing to follow Jesus as long as it means they can still hold onto other things in their life like secret sins, bad habits, or a worldview that keeps them comfortable. This combined with all the noise and darkness surrounding the Christ-follower can make it even harder to really follow Jesus.
I was reminded of the old hymn that says, 'I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back.' The resolute nature of that statement became the creative basis for 'Follow', a fresh new song of worship that I believe the modern church needs to sing."
