For those who haven't heard of you before, can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got involved in making music?
I started singing during a prayer conversation with God in 2017. I figured it was God's way of calming me down. But I realized that it was nothing I'd heard before so I started writing down what I was singing and it opened a creative floodgate for me.
Tell us about your single 'God Reigns Over Everything' and what the inspiration behind it was?
This song is really to get people through the trials of life and the fires of life. The winter seasons the valley experiences to have something to hold onto to know this will pass because God has everything under his control.
Do you have any plans to release more music in the near future?
I'm focused on writing now but I'd love to release more songs that I record as the artist.
What message would you like people to take from your music?
Encouragement. I want my music to give hope to give the reminder and to give the strength to hold on until you get through the storm in your life.
How would you describe your style of music and what are your influences?
I have many influences from old school Gospel like Mahalia Jackson who I grew up listening to or Sister Rosetta Tharp to sounds in folk and rock and soul and making it modern and contemporary.
If you could work with any songwriter, who would it be and why?
I would write with Chris Tomlin and Jonathan McReynolds because they have profoundly reached the Christian and Gospel audience.
How would you define success in your career as an artist?
I think continuing to make music and growing and learning and sharing my gift to God's people.
You're stuck on an island, it's hot, you only have enough battery life left to listen to one song on your phone. What track is it?
I'm really enjoying listening to Blessing Offors album right now and favorite song is "Looking for God"
What does the next year hold for you?
I've just moved from Austin TX back to my hometown of Atlanta and I'm focused on songwriting and growing my craft. I also think I'll record a new song for release later in the year
