Karen Clark Sheard was a member of the best selling female Gospel Group The Clark Sisters before she decided to go solo. She has released many solo albums that have had a major affect in the American Christian Music circle.
What jumps out at me from the first listen of this album is the strength within Karen's vocals, I now understand why she is known as one of the most powerful and varied vocalist in the world. The album is packed full of strong Gospel songs with great worship lyrics and high energy music like the opening track Prayed Up and Hold On. Other songs on the album like Crazy Praise will get you tapping your feet and moving your shoulders in time to the music.
As I said before, the best part of this album is Karen Clark Sheard's powerful vocals, and where these come into their own is during some of the slower tempo power ballads, these give Karen an opportunity to show us how she's made a name for herself. The track I Made A Choice also shows Karen can sing Gospel Pop as good as anybody in the charts and is one of my favorite tracks on this album. Because You Are is also a stunning track, it is a traditional sounding Gospel track that has a soft soul feel to it.
All In One is a strong collection of songs and I know if this is the genre of music you're a fan of, you will love this album. Karen Clark Sheard fans will love this new collection of songs, well worth a listen.
