Formed in the late 1980s, Iona's blend of Celtic rock has seen them form a loyal following over the years. Last year the band returned to the United States for their first tour there in nine years, where they introduced some of the songs from their forthcoming new album due out in 2011.
Iona have not released a studio album since 2006's 'The Circling Hour'. In addition to their UK tour, Iona will also perform three dates in the Netherlands from 14th to 16th April, and two dates in Germany during November.
