Signed to British based label Kingsway, Jocelyn released her solo album 'True Praises' in December 2010, teaming up with producer Nicky Brown (LCGC, Beverley Trotman, Priscilla Jones-Campbell, One Voice) as well as performing duets with Lou Fellingham and Carleen Anderson.
Appearing initially as a soloist in Church with various Brooklyn gospel choirs, Jocelyn made the crossover into Disco music early, going on to perform with bands including Kleer, Inner Life and the Salsoul Orchestra. Jocelyn has worked with the best: Quincy Jones, Luther Vandross, George Benson, Roberta Flack, Janis Joplin, Michael Jackson, Gilles Peterson and John Lennon amongst many others. UK pop and dance fans will know her from Snap's 'I Got The Power' which sampled her vocal.
"First and foremost I never ever sought to do opera!" said Jocelyn discussing the ITV1 show. "Like everyone else I've heard it, seen it on TV but never thought I could do it myself. But this experience has made me see so much more about the spirit of opera music and it has changed me for the better. It has reminded me that you can do something new! Yes, it is a challenge but living in this world today is a challenge! So I hope I can encourage someone to step out in faith! With God all things are possible!"
