. So what does this album sound like?
Well, to start things off, I love the opening to Break Into Life, a thumping bass drum beat, with some electric synth sound work. That bursts into life with a great guitar riff and I've got to say, this is a top quality start. The song bursts into life with an out and out rock n roll number, guitars ringing out with distortion and passion that digs deep and will get you jumping around worshiping God. The big rock worship sound keeps the album going in tracks like Overcome and Found. This is a group of people who love their guitars and their worship loud and energy filled and this comes across in this live collection.
It's strange to say this about a live worship album, but there are times the album sounds like a mix of The Foo Fighters and All Star United (remember them?). This comes to the fore front especially in the track 'Found'. But on this album, for every fast upbeat track of big sounding rock worship, there are these really quiet intimate moments. They're not necessarily all quiet worship moments, but mid tempo rock ballads. Like in King Of Angels and Father God.
The latter part of the album has a truly amazing song titled Mountains. The song is really heartfelt and heart wrenching. You can imagine the silence in the room when this one is being lead. A truly remarkable song. With a guitar solo in the middle it isn't too long before the guitars get another run out on the album.
I suppose overall this is a rock worship album, and within the rock genre of big guitars and big drums. This is where the band excels the most, they really know how to create a big live rock sound and this comes over very well on the album. Singing out with real gusto the songs they have written about God. If you like 100% hard hitting rock worship then this album is well worth checking out.
