Joseph and Tosha Zwanziger are Worship Pastors at The Father's House In Vacaville, California. These guys have been worship leading for over 20 years between them but have now released their new live album titled 'Live At The Father's House'.
The album opens gently and quietly with a track simply titled 'Intro', which sees what can only be described as a choir of voices spontaneously singing out words of worship to God. The drums slowly build with a steady beat, added with a layer of atmospheric synths, this opener sets a wonderful spirit of worship.

Before you have time to take a breath from the slow start of 'Great Are You God', bursting into your ears is an earthshaking guitar riff that explodes out of the song. This song has everything you expect from a big anthemic worship song, big guitars, big drums and brilliant worshipful lyrics. "Thank You, Thank You for your Son, through you we have overcome, overcome". Without being too complicated, I found this song very easy to pick up and found myself singing along straight away.
What stands out from the first few tracks is the fact that Joseph has a strong voice that is powerful as he leads other in worship. His voice doesn't get lost or hidden in the big sounds of the opening of the album, the big guitars and his voice compliment each other very well. This aspect also comes across during the track 'Forever Yours'. The strong pace, amps to eleven, continues during the track and what this song does is provide a place for you to declare to God: "I am Yours Forever, I'm Forever Yours".
Of course with all worship albums there are one or two songs that jump out, and this album is no different. The gem of the album comes in the super praise song of 'King Of All', which is where we hear for the first time the voice of Tosha Zwanziger. The song itself is a beautiful ballad of praise to God. One of the best moments of the track is when you can hear the people at the venue singing out as well. Hearing thousands of voices singing praises to God will always be a beautiful thing. This is a true live album, with real people singing praises to God, and the production of this album captures this wonderfully.
King of All is a song that will stir the heart of any worshipper. It has everything, from a powerful chorus to a space for you to personally sing out to God using your own words. But it's the big chorus that really digs deep into the soul. I am sure after hearing this song you will be standing with your hands lifted high and joining in with the words, "Holy, Holy, Lord Almighty, Holy, Holy, Lord of Glory, King Of All".
There are so many great tracks on this live album, with a few different styles coming out. You Are Beautiful sounds like it could have been a Phatfish song, mid tempo rock with a beautiful melody. Then you have Come Sweet Presence which starts off with a picked guitar and a steady stamping drum beat, slowly building up in each verse, with extra instruments moving it forward. The song itself gets bigger and bolder as it continues, the guitars grow from a quiet country feel to a full blown guitar tone that sounds loud and proud. Tracks like Jesus my Everything and My Salvation are again strong songs that simply talk about who God is, and what He has done for us.
Ex-Delirious guitarist Mr Stu G appears on this album, and throughout the whole of the album you can hear his distinctive guitar playing. He adds that extra bit of guts to these songs, that turns a good worship song into an epic anthem.
Not everyone will know Joseph and Tosha Zwanziger, but let me tell you, after listening to this album you will not be disappointed. The music falls into the Jesus Culture style of worship, but these guys lead worship and use their songs in their own unique way. There are some truly stunning times of worship on this album.
