Seventeen tracks!!!! This album has a massive seventeen tracks!!!! How am I going to review so much music, so many tracks. You really do get a lot of music for your money with this record.
I was expecting many one minute long tracks that bridge together two tracks. Yet this isn't the case here. You get full length tracks. Yes there are few interlude moments and reprise tracks, but those moments are some of the best moments of the album.

I was expecting many one minute long tracks that bridge together two tracks. Yet this isn't the case here. You get full length tracks. Yes there are few interlude moments and reprise tracks, but those moments are some of the best moments of the album.
There might be a worry that if there is this many tracks, does the quality stay high or does it dip? This is such a journey storytelling album, each track seems to be there for a very good reason. And the quality of the songs don't drop.
If I might be so bold can I give a few comments about some tracks on the album? Yes, ok.
'It Gets Better' is an upbeat anthem with some soothing, easy on the ear vocals.
'I Forgive Me' is a song about... Forgiveness. It's actually about knowing that God himself forgives you but you actually forgive yourself and letting go is just as important. It's a theme you don't hear often on Christian music albums, but actually a very important part of the process of asking for forgiveness. The reprise track from this is further on in the album and is also brilliant. It has more freedom and space to be more experimental with the song.
In general the album very much falls into the soulful, Gospel genre - but it at times gives a few nods to other genres. Like the song 'You Rescued Me' which has a small hint of Country, 'Expectation' has a Samba feel to it. 'You Still Love Me is a big piano pop ballad. Getting inspiration from different genres only pushes this album further forward and keeps it moving on nicely.
You know when you hear an album and it really wasn't what you were expecting? This is one of those albums. It grabbed my attention from the start and for an album with seventeen tracks kept my attention throughout. This album is full of passion and energy, yet it's the themes and messages that are the main draws of the album. Many songs on here deal with our low opinions of our selves and that God doesn't have those same opinions.
This is a great album. Did I tell you it was an amazing seventeen tracks long? Seventeen !!!!! This is a really great album and well worth investing your time into.
