Jenn Bostic Releases Poignant Christmas Song 'Tell Me Again (Immanuel)'
Nashville based Christian artist and songwriter Jenn Bostic releases poignant new Christmas song, 'Tell Me Again (Immanuel)', full of childlike faith and curiosity. What was it like to hear the angels singing? What was it like to see that guiding star? How did it feel to hold the Savior of the world sleeping in your arms?
Co-written and produced by Lauren Christy (Avril Lavigne, Dua Lipa, Bebe Rexha, The Struts) and Benj Heard (Jordan Smith, Colbie Caillat, Timbaland), the song reminds us that He is Immanuel, God with us. This song is part of a release entitled Take My Hand Part 1, which debuted at #11 on the iTunes US Christian/Gospel chart. This project, as well as the forthcoming album, is a collaboration between Bostic and Christy. The two began working together after the viral international success of Bostic’s Jealous of the Angels.
There was an instant musical synergy, and an immediate sisterhood between the two. Christy became a mentor, as Bostic released six of their songs independently (Faithful, Little Grace, Lamp), touring them around the world. Bostic has performed on the stages of The Grand Ole Opry, The Ryman Auditorium, and Jazz at Lincoln Center, as well as BBC Breakfast, BBC Songs of Praise, Daystar, and TBN.
As an independent artist, Bostic was the first international artist to have her first three singles playlisted on BBC Radio 2. She was named “International Touring Artist of the Year,” by the British Country Music Association in both 2017 & 2018, as well as being nominated for “International Album of the Year,” and “International Single of the Year.”
In 2012 she was the recipient of 5 Independent Country Music Association Awards including, “Best Songwriter,” “Best Musician,” and “Overall Winner.” Christy is one of the co-creators of The Matrix, she and her former business partners are responsible for writing and producing Avril Lavigne’s Sk8er Boi and I’m With You, selling 25 million copies. Christy has written and produced hits for Jason Mraz, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Enrique Iglesias, Kelly Clarkson, Dua Lipa, Katy Perry, The Struts, Bebe Rexha and many more. Lauren is one of only seven women to be nominated for “Producer of the Year” at the Grammys.
