Treasure Field have unveiled a brand new Christmas lyric video, 'In the Bleak Midwinter' from their Christmas EP Midwinter.
In the Northern Hemisphere Christmas falls in Winter and so winter imagery has always been a strong symbolic feature of songs, stories, carols and poems reflecting on the nativity story. In the cold dark skies of spiritual winter a new star shines out and a baby’s cry pierces the silent air. Did it really happen this story we are so familiar with? What does it all mean? How do we respond?
For the Victorian poet Christina Rossetti who wrote the familiar words to this carol, this greatest story of all called her to respond and her words of response can be ours also, this Christmas and every Christmas.
