Young UK Worship Leader Nathan Hood Releases Debut EP 'Fount'
Nathan Hood, a 20-year-old singer/songwriter and worship leader based in Southampton, UK, releases his debut EP 'Fount' on Friday 15th January. It is an acoustic/intimate worship album for those looking for reflective times with God and a chance to draw close to Him.
The EP comes after months of brainstorming, writing, recording and production throughout mid-2019 to late-2020. This project is rooted in the truth that Jesus is our fountain of life - in him we not only find grace and forgiveness, but true wholeness and satisfaction. He is our wellspring and source of joy and strength, our rest and refuge, our closest friend, and we are invited to come and know him intimately.
This is our inheritance from God the Father, achieved through Jesus Christ, and worked within and through us by the Holy Spirit. He's poured out his love, and our response is to do the same.
Nathan began worship leading as a youth leader at his family church in Maidstone. In March 2018, he felt called by God to move to Hillsong Church, Tonbridge, where he joined the worship team as an vocalist. Moving to study Biomedical Sciences at the University of Southampton in September 2018, he became highly involved in the Christian Union as a worship leader, and now he leads worship at his beloved church, Saint Mary's (HTB), since joining in September 2019.
Passionate about believers stepping into true intimacy with God, he writes songs grounded in his own experience of the tangible reality of God’s existence and the love encountered through knowing Jesus.
As a vocalist, pianist, guitarist and songwriter, he combines stripped-back, acoustic and ambient sounds with one simple declaration - that it's all about Jesus. It's all about knowing him - and nothing else compares.
