Oct 29 2021

Marquetta Jackson, a worship leader and singer/songwriter from Chicago, has released a lyric video for her debut single 'Overcomer'. New to the Christian music scene, Marquetta Jackson hit the ground running with hard guitar riffs and banging drums in this amazing debut single. 'Overcomer' is an affirmation, a declaration of victory and triumph.

Since entering the world, Marquetta Jackson was bred with music in her heart. Her deep passion for music originated in the church where she began singing and developed a strong foundation of hope and faith in God. Her enthusiasm for emulating the stylings of the Gospel greats was ceaseless. Marquetta also has a deep love for musical theater and performed in many productions and musicals. Though her musical foundation is grounded in gospel music, over the years she has developed an eclectic pallet for various genres of music that continue to influence her sound today.

A gifted and anointed psalmist, Marquetta is very passionate about sharing the message of hope, redemption, and salvation in Jesus Christ through song and testimony to all the nations. Marquetta is also the founder of Marquetta Jackson Ministries, whose sole purpose is to provide spaces for people to draw closer to God through worship and prayer.

Marquetta is currently the Worship Leader at New Life Alive Church, under the leadership of Pastor Jerome Cook. Marquetta has also been blessed with a wonderful family, husband Warren and three beautiful children, Marques, Martiana, and Marshawn. With the release of her debut single, “OVERCOMER”, Marquetta is looking onward and upward to everything God has in store!
