After a brief hiatus, Martin released Dancing in the Fire - the first single from his brand new studio album, earlier this year. Hot on its heels was second release Trouble, a collaboration between Martin and The Kingdom Choir, known more recently for playing at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

In anticipation of his album release next year, Martin is set to release his third single, Fire In Your Eyes.

Please let me say from the start, that this song feels like Martin has dipped right into The Killers musical inspiration songbook, but of course as you would expect with Mr Smith, he has added an abundance of his own style and power of the great singer that he is, to make this track into what I can only describe as his most epic track to date, and I'm taking into consideration all his stuff from the band called Delirious?

This is an anthem, a rousing and soaring anthem that grabs the attention of the listener from the first chorus. The impact the chorus had on me when I first heard it was something else. It builds and builds into a crescendo of exciting and passionate praise. Martin really lets go when singing this chorus, and leaves nothing on the table.

In the press release Martin Smith asks us to, "Please do me a favour. Find somewhere where you can turn this up REALLY loud and jump, dance, scream and let go of the fear that has gripped us." That's what I ended up doing and I'm sure you as a listener will be the same. This track feels fresh and new, let's just say that I said the first two new singles from the album were good, but this is a masterpiece.
