TobyMac To Tour With Chris Tomlin / 'Tonight' Used On Major League Baseball Network

Mar 10 2010

Following the success of TobyMac's recent album 'Tonight', which gained the highest sales debut of his solo career reaching number 6 on the Billboard Top 200, number 1 on the Christian SoundScan and number 2 on the iTunes overall chart, the multi-platinum and Grammy Award winning artist is to have the album's title track used as the theme song for Major League Baseball Network's (MLB) '30 Clubs in 30 Days' Spring Training TV show. 'Tonight' will be featured throughout each episode of the series. The TV series will feature hour-long shows on each of the 30 Major League clubs previewing the 2010 season.

TobyMac is continuing to promote his new album with the 'AWAKE TONIGHT Tour' alongside Skillet, which runs through until 11th April. Following that, TobyMac and Chris Tomlin will be touring together this summer on the 'Hello Tonight Tour'. The ticket pre-sale for dance floor tickets and VIP tickets opens today, Wednesday 10th March. The seven date tour begins in Oklahoma City on 17th June and ends in Knoxville, Tennessee on 8th July.

With over 10 million in career sales, his first three solo projects receiving RIAA Gold status and Grammy nominations, and TobyMac's live CD/DVD taking home a Grammy award, the much-celebrated and acclaimed artist recently celebrated his fifth consecutive Grammy nomination with his single 'City On Our Knees' receiving a nod for Best Gospel song. The track topped the sales and radio charts faster than any of his previous singles, spending 8 weeks at number 1 on the Christian Audience Chart.
