UK Worship Leader Vicki Holden Releases 'Free to Be'
Vicki Holden, a worship leader and songwriter, releases her debut single 'Free To Be'. Vicki grew up in a family of talented musicians. Her parents and older brothers were all skilled musicians so she was surrounded by music at a young age. However, music didn’t capture her at this point as it did her family.
In 2010 Vicki and her family experienced a dramatic encounter with God at their home in Bedfordshire, England. Holy Spirit encountered and ministered to the family powerfully and everything changed forever from this point on.
Despite having no real musical training, Vicki felt a stirring to worship God. She began to sing out to the Lord until one day she told Jesus she couldn’t find a song to tell him how she felt. The Lord asked her to sing her own song to him. With that she sat at the piano and, without knowing the names of any chords, she began to sing out her first song ‘Daddy’. As she cried out ‘Daddy’ His presence fell right there in the room. This opened a whole new way of living.
From there she began to sing to and with God day and night, learning to sing as honestly as she could before Him. She began falling in love with Him every single day as she took the time to learn to become His dwelling place.
This would become the start of her ministry in worship and song. She has since recorded more songs and ministered at various places across the UK.
The lord commissioned Vicki with the scripture John 4:23 and her heart is to lead His children into a place of encounter and intimacy with Him as they bow down in worship to their true love.
