Allan Releasing New Single 'Open The Heavens'
South African singer-songwriter, Allan, releases 'Open The Heavens', the title track from his upcoming 10 track studio album set for release in April 2022. Three years since his debut album Face 2 Face was released, which reached #1 on iTunes in South Africa, and well loved by radio stations across the country, Allan is back with a worship anthem, a heart cry, where each line reflects back to the presence of God.
“I was on stage, and I heard the Holy Spirit say “This will be your next song…” and I was already singing a melody with words (which is now the bridge),” says Allan. Allan went into HitLab studios with producer and singer-songwriter Neil Engel, to finish writing the song together, not just to push a release, but a song written with intention. “We agreed, we wanted a song proclaiming that It is His presence, His glory, a fresh encounter with Him that changes everything, that reminds you WHOSE you are, and when that happens, it just makes you want to worship,“ adds Allan.

Allan has seen God lift him out of dire situations time and again, being born two and a half months premature with under-developed lungs, he is a living miracle of healing and restoration. In 2010 going through a very rough season, Allan received a letter from his praying Aunt, the same Aunt that prophesied life over him as a baby when the doctors told his parents to say goodbye to him. This letter arrived in the post at the exact time he wanted to give up. “It was God reminding me that He is faithful, He has called me, and I will make it.”
Now, since Allan’s debut release he has received messages of testimonies of how God has miraculously intervened in people’s lives, through the message of his music. “A man in Canada randomly came across my songs on Spotify and sent me a message on Instagram. He wanted to take his life and said he took a chance and started listening to this album (Face to Face), and felt the presence of God so strong, that the urge to kill himself left him, delivering him in an instant. It reminded me that all it takes is one encounter with the presence of God to change your life forever”.
With exciting worship events in planning phase, Allan is excited for what lies ahead. His album will see wonderful collaborations, original music as well as renditions of Praise and Worship songs that have transformed Allan’s life over the years. “The last two years we have had sickness, death and loss of income, with people going through severe hardships because of a worldwide pandemic and people scared to gather at church. This year I hope to see that restored; I believe the enemy tried to silence the sound of worship and I’m excited for what God wants to do here.” concludes Allan.
