Feb 17 2022

Olwen Ringrose, an independent singer-songwriter based in South Wales, UK, releases her fourth recording project 'Parables' on 4th March. The EP of 5 songs and 5 spoken word poems explores the parables of Jesus and was produced by Stuart Townend's producer, Mark Edwards.

Originally from Sussex, Olwen is now based in South Wales. With over 20 years’ experience in song writing and recording, Olwen’s music draws from a variety of genres including folk, pop and jazz.

Olwen has had the good fortune to work with some incredible musicians, including Iona drummer Terl Bryant and David Phelps’ guitarist Dan Wheeler. She has recorded four projects with producer and pianist Mark Edwards, who is well known on the UK jazz scene, plays live with Katie Melua and produces Stuart Townend, amongst a long list of well-known artists.

In 2006, Olwen played support for Kate Simmond’s last tour before she moved to Australia. Having taken a 13 year break, she is back with a fresh look at the parables of Jesus, combining folk and jazz influenced music with spoken word poetry.
