Leah Catherine, highly esteemed in her community as a truly gifted singer and song-writer, is launching her first single 'I Want to be Ready to Go When He Comes' from her debut album 'Overflow'. This inspirational, foot-stomping, “recipe-for-success” song is for anyone who loves God and wants to be ready for the highly anticipated return of Jesus.

Leah Catherine has the rare gift of being able to write, play and sing songs she receives from Heaven. Her uniquely beautiful blend of folk, country, and gospel styles is uplifting and inspiring and will help you draw closer to Jesus while equipping and transforming you for the times ahead. This album’s strong scriptural base is packed full of truth and encouragement, and every song on it makes you want to burst out singing.

She chose her first single "I Want to Be Ready" because it is a universal call to all believers to ensure they are ready to meet Jesus. With its upbeat tempo and timely lyrics it rapidly became the most requested crowd favorite in her church and everywhere she plays.

“In Psalm 100 The Bible says praise is the passport to Heaven”, says Leah. “I want to transport every believer out of the darkness of this age into the blessing and presence of God. I chose this song to be my first single because I think everyone needs some happiness right now and to know there is a joyous way home.”

As the title suggests, the album “Overflow” refers to the abundance of God available to His believers and is a rich feast of everything you want in a praise album. From the raucous joy of the first single to the simplicity of “Praise God” which evokes the gospel, to the effortlessly beautiful “We Enter Your Gates with Thanksgiving” and “Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart” the album starts strong and just keeps flowing.

The title track, Overflow, encapsulates one of the most famous Bible passages, Psalm 23 where King David declares not only that his cup overflows with the goodness of God but that he will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. The song was born when Leah woke up one morning with Holy Spirit whispering in her ear “imagine a river so deep and so wide, you’ll never be thirsty, never run dry”. She jumped up and wrote that passage down. Since He had already told her the album was to be called Overflow, she knew this was the inspiration she had been waiting for.

All songs on the album are original, written by Leah with direct inspiration from Heaven. Each has a creation story. A Biblical base. An inspiration from above. Each song is distinctly different from the one before and the whole album takes you on a journey from wanting to be ready, to entering His gates, to being healed and transformed then rising up to be who each of us were called to be ruling and reigning in our daily lives. The album ends with the evocative song “Look Up” referring to Luke 21:28 where Jesus says - “When you see all these things happening, look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.”

In a dark and thirsty world, immersing yourself in the melodies and messages of “Overflow” is like striking a rock in the desert and having clear cold life-giving water pouring out. You just want to drink.
