Susie Mills Announces Her New single 'Darlin' Featuring Joshua Luke Smith
Susie Mills' music carries a powerful sensitivity with her delicate vocals and hypnotic melodies accompanied by an Indie/Electronic sound world. She aims to create music that soothes the soul and allows listeners to feel embraced. Her lyrics match the understated feel of her music, inspired by artists such as Corinne Bailey Rae, Eloise and Oh Wonder.
Her latest offering, Darlin’, is a reflection of the simplicity that love can hold, evading Hollywood’s fairytale love for a more authentic alternative.
Written during lockdown in 2021 with featured artist and long-standing friend, Joshua Luke Smith, the song celebrates ordinary daily moments with a loved one and doesn’t shy away from the imperfections of human relationships. This release follows Susie’s feature on Joshua Luke Smith’s debut album released in June 2021 on his track, ‘Curtains’.
Susie Mills released her debut EP, Make Sense Of It in 2019 which raised attention with the lead single, heartbreak anthem, Distance. Towards the end of 2020 she released the Messy EP, which saw her step into a more live band sound and was featured multiple times on BBC Introducing South West Radio.
