UK Worship Leader & Songwriter Luke Wareham Releasing 'Come Home' Feat. Marc James
'Come Home' is the new song to be released by UK worship leader and songwriter Luke Wareham featuring renowned songwriter and recording artist Marc James, released on 24th June.
The song is part of Luke’s new 5 track EP 'Pure Heart' that is out on 12th August, produced by Dan Stirling, mastered by Tim Gosden and distributed via Wings Music Group. The EP will feature collaborations with Chris Sayburn, Donna Akodu, Lou Fellingham, Marc James and Michelle Lutz. Luke’s prayer in releasing the songs is that they would help people to have life changing encounters with Jesus, that connect them to the heart of God for their life and that the songs will speak into everyday life situations. Ultimately his hope is that the songs will draw people to Jesus.
'Come Home' is a song for those seeking a fresh encounter with God and a call for the prodigals to come home. The song came about as Luke was reading and reflecting on the story of the prodigal son in the Bible whilst songwriting with his wife Katie and friend Matt Caddick. Luke says ‘Psalm 55 and Matthew 11 describe a loving God who is kind, will never leave us and is willing to take on our burdens just like the Father does in the prodigal son story. He doesn't turn him away, he calls for him to come home and desires to take care of his child’.
'Come Home' is available to stream and download on all music platforms and the new lyric and acoustic videos will be on Luke’s YouTube channel. The chords to the song are available to download via SongSelect CCLI.
