Ahtune Releases Acoustic Guitar-Driven Worship Song 'For the First Time'
Ahtune has released a single titled 'For the First Time', available now on all streaming platforms. "I offer this song in the hopes that it will be a blessing to every believer who is struggling with adversity", he says.
"While I normally write EDM-style electronic music, I recently completed an acoustic guitar-driven worship song called 'For the First Time.' This song was conceived while driving home from my good friend's house. He and his wife have both served in ministry over the years, he as a pastor and she as a missionary nurse in Bangladesh. It was during her time in Bangladesh that she contracted a heart virus.
After returning to the US they were married and began their life together. Fortunately, she was working at a hospital when the virus caused her to code during her shift. Praise God that she got immediate medical attention that saved her life. The disease has progressed however leaving her mostly home-bound.
As I was driving home from their house I was wrestling with God about the suffering these dear saints were undergoing. It was then that God reminded me of 2 Corinthians 4:17 where Paul says, "For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison." When we finally see the Lord Jesus face-to-face, all our troubles and trials on this earth will melt away."
