What an amazing recording this is, from the quality of the recording to the stunning vocals this version is something very special. Let me just add I love this song and always have, when I reviewed the album 'Stained Glass Stories' I said about this track "For me one of the standout song on this album is 'You're Still God'. This is a powerful ballad from Philippa, you can hear the rawness in the lyrics, the clamber for hope and actually in the song finding that the only thing that is truth is that... "this one truth will be my story, you still reign and you are still God". So for me to see this song be given a new lease of life is very exciting.
As I have alluded to already this is a great song and a great production of this song, the recording is great and the vocals are some of the best vocals I have ever heard. Let's be honest, Philippa has always had some special vocals, and here is no different. Here is my thoughts and you are more than welcome to not go with this, but have a good listen to this track in it's new version and then head over and have a good listen to the album 'Stained Glass Stories'. I can guarantee you, if you like this, you will love that album.
