J J ARV Releases 'No Gravity' Feat. Farouk Jr.
J J ARV, a singer-songwriter from Australia has released her latest single, 'No Gravity', on all major platforms. The song was written in collaboration with Farouk Jr. who lives in Trinidad and Tobago.
"Initially the song was born out of a Challenge from a group we were a part of but it soon became very personal to us, and to me especially. It speaks of how we have been held down by our past, our fears, social expectations etc but that we no longer live out of these things but out of the truth of WHO we are. We now know the value we hold (“…wear the heart of the crown) and live out of that worth rather than the fears and expectations of the world."
"I create singer/songwriter music with a contemporary/alternative folk and cinematic fusion, in the vein of Lauren Daigle, Fleuri and Tim Moore, that carry messages ranging from individual self-discovery, daily struggles and light found in life, to deeper theological faith based musings. I am a reflective singer/songwriter with an eclectic mix of genre that swings from alternative indi-folk to alternative cinematic contemporary.
Artists such as Delta Goodrem and Lauren Daigle as well as some alternative stylings of Fleurie and Ruelle and the indi-folk slant of Tim Moore have influenced my writing. South Australia has been my home where I have been surrounded by music, first from my family and then by the community I have been a part of. My heart is to share life's struggles, joys and hopes with people through music. Music, in my opinion, goes beyond intellectual, logical outlook and cuts straight to the heart. It breaks down the barriers our minds put up and can influence emotional, mental and physical healing. It is a tool that can help us learn and grow. It can also be a source of escape from or connection to the experiences we face."
