This power ballad is so powerful, you can hear the emotion in Ian's voice from the start. Add to that the melodic delivery of the track and you have a song that hits at the soul. I don't know how Ian will take this, but I would have to compare a track like this to artists like Snow Patrol and Coldplay. This song also reminded me of the track 'Let There Be Love' by Oasis.
That's my own view, and of course I would encourage you to have a listen yourself and make your own mind up, but my conclusion is that Ian Yates has made a stunning, powerful and emotional song. I can't wait to hear Part 2 of 'Between The Joy And The Sorrow'.
