Still Shadey Wins MOBO Award For Best Gospel Artist 2022

Still Shadey has today (30th November) been announced as the winner of the MOBO Award for Best Gospel Act 2022, supported by Premier Gospel. In association with Lucozade the UK’s biggest and most prestigious celebration of black music celebrated it's 25th anniversary today at the live awards show held at the OVO Arena Wembley.

The other nominees for Best Gospel Act were Asha Elia, CalledOut Music, Rachel Kerr, Reblah and Sarah Téibo.

Last month Still Shadey released his single 'Proverbs &
Beats
', following last year's release of his 'How to kill a Caterpillar' album.

Responding on Twitter to the news of his MOBO win he said simply, "speechless".

The MOBOs describe themselves as the premiere outlet for recognising and honouring the artistic and technical achievements of exceptional British and international urban talent.

For a quarter of a century, MOBO has been proudly celebrating and elevating black music in the UK. Its 25-year legacy has seen MOBO have a pivotal role in supporting the growth of British black music on a global scale, championing homegrown talent, and setting the standard in Rap, Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, Grime, Drill, Gospel, Jazz, Reggae, Garage, Drum & Bass and beyond.
