Jordan Elias To Release Debut Album 'Desert Cry'

Apr 26 2010

Jordan Elias will release his debut album 'Desert Cry' on 4th May 2010. The 14 track CD, which also features the powerful video 'Springtime', see's Jordan team up with his third generation musical heritage in the shape of his grandfather, legendary producer Jerry Marcellino who worked with stars such as Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson and Michael Jackson, and Jordan's father, Yochanan Marcellino, who founded several successful record labels.

"Music is a wonderful gift", Jordan says. "Making music with my father and my grandfather is a wonderful privilege. I feel honored that they would even consider working with me. But for me, making music is all about the Lord. Without declaring Him and His kingdom, this all means nothing. Without the Lord Jesus, nothing matters."

Born in California and raised in an idyllic Colorado setting, nine year-old Jordan’s life took a dramatic turn when his dad took a marketing job in Israel. Jordan went to school in Israel and became fluent in the Hebrew language. Several years later, the family relocated to Nashville, where he lives now.

"The title of the album, Desert Cry, is derived from a pattern found again and again throughout the scriptures", says Jordan. "It is the cry of the prophets, spanning from Moses, Elijah and Elisha, all the way down the line to John the Baptist and Yeshua (Jesus), the Messiah Himself. These men, called of God, drew away into the desert, and there God gave them each the same message for their own generation: 'Repent and return to the Lord'. That’s what this album is all about. It is that very same message being declared to this generation: a call to 'return to the Lord'."

The album is available to order now.
