Women Who Worship Release New Song 'Great Mystery'

Feb 04 2023

Women Who Worship, a collection of female worship artists, songwriters and creatives, has released a new song from the upcoming self-titled project. The new track, "Great Mystery," features Jessie Early and is available today along with the live performance video. Last month, Women Who Worship released the first song, "Firm Foundation (He Won't)" featuring Lindy Cofer.

“I wrote 'Great Mystery' with my good friend Bede Benjamin-Korporaal," shares Jessie Early. "My father-in-law had just passed away suddenly and tragically a few weeks before, and that day the only thing I could bring myself to write about was eternity and the mystery of God.”

Women Who Worship began in 2019 when Capitol CMG Publishing hosted 45 female worship artists and songwriters for the inaugural writing camp. It was out of that camp that the movement was birthed. The Women Who Worship community creates space where there is room for everyone at the table.

The Women Who Worship project will be released on March 3rd in partnership with WorshipTogether. The album was recorded live last year when the group gathered to unite and amplify the voices of women from around the world. Some of the women featured in the upcoming release include Cofer, Rita Springer, Leslie Jordan, Jessie Early, Emmy Rose, Cecily Hennigan, Shantrice Laura, and Enoila Abioye.
