Gospel Rapper TKE3 Releases 'Precious'
Gospel artist TKE3 released the song ‘Precious’ on Friday 17th February, a few days after Valentines Day. This was released to express a different kind of love, not the romantic type, or the type between a parent and their child, or even close friends. This kind of love is agape love. The love that is God; giving, expressive and protective.
A call to salvation for anyone looking for a safe haven, TKE3 says ‘Jesus is the one that saves’ because we’re precious to Him. TKE delivers as usual, with the most beautiful vocals on the track produced by LAW1.
Victor ‘TKE3’ Atuonwu is a producer and rapper. Born in Nigeria and raised in the UK, TKE3 is a gospel artist, producing art out of the inspiration of the Word of God, various sounds and musical styles. Whilst this is not his first time on the music scene, this has been his most appraised expression of music. His stage name ‘TKE3’ [pronounced ‘take three’] is significant as the number 3 is used throughout the written word, the Bible, to symbolise harmony, wholeness and a new life. It is first expressed in Genesis to represent the divine trinity: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit. For TKE3, the number 3 is a special reference to the story of the young prophet Samuel and his teacher Eli. 1 Samuel 3:1-10. It is on the third time that God called Samuel that he answered correctly and responded to the Lord. So just as Samuel, TKE3 is not just a name but a sovereign declaration that on this third time that the Lord has called, his ever ready servant is listening.
