Award Winning Artist Jemimah Paine Releases 'Colour EP'
UK music artist and songwriter Jemimah Paine releases a brand new 4 track Studio EP, ’Colour.’ 2022 saw Jemimah winning ‘Best pop Artist’ for the TMMP awards. Jemimah also supported Martin Smith on the final night of his UK tour in May 2023.
“This song is about intimacy with God” Jemimah says, “It is about us wanting to be as close to Him as possible, knowing that He is deeply connected with every emotion we feel.”
Jemimah, originally from the Island of Guernsey, moved over to the UK 9 years ago to pursue a career in music. She recently completed a 7 night tour across the UK to promote her new EP. The tour hit community cafe’s and pubs from Devon, all the way to Norwich.
Jemimah says “It has been really special to see so many people connect with my new songs. I have had so many people comment on how touched they were when they heard ‘Colour.’ It really is an honour to share these God-given songs to people who are hungry to find Jesus even in a community cafe on a Friday night.”
Jemimah says: ‘This song was particularly special to write out of the 4 songs. The lyrics flowed very easily and it definitely feels like this song completes the EP perfectly! It is a simple love song to God. I wrote this song after thinking about how much I love God and want to be so close to Him. I want to allow Him into every area of my life, including my emotions.’
January 2020 saw the release of Jemimah’s debut EP ‘Anthem’s'. During lockdown 2020 Jemimah was involved in a number of music collaboration and co-writing projects and released her second EP ‘Friend’ in August 2021 which contains a number of exciting collaborations with J. Vessel, Matias Ruiz and Tania Ilyashova. In June Jemimah recorded her new 4 track EP. She wrote this with Joe Baxter (collaborated recently with Connor Maynard) and Féz who also produced the EP.
Féz, who produced the EP says, ’Colour EP is and will always be a very special collection of songs to me. It’s the fruit of authentic relationship & an incredible team of collaborators that are at the top of their game. What I love the most is that JP has something to say and I believe every word of it’.
Over the past few years Jemimah’s music has been played on BBC Guernsey & Jersey, UCB 1 and 2 and Konnect Radio in the UK. She has been involved in events, recordings and performances with Martin Smith, Graham Kendrick, Lucy Grimble, Jake Isaac, Chris Read, James Bourne, David Gest, the National TV awards.
