Revive are just about to release their new album named Blink. This is the fourth release from the Australian four piece who formed back in 2004. The band released their first two albums independently while still living in Australia. Revive then relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 2007 where they then released their previous album Chorus of Saints which received a lot of praise in the Christian music world.
Moving forward to their new release you wonder, could the new album take this band to an even higher level than Chorus of Saints? From listening to the album, I would have to...

Moving forward to their new release you wonder, could the new album take this band to an even higher level than Chorus of Saints? From listening to the album, I would have to say yes. 11 top quality songs, songs that have hooks that force you to remember them once the album is turned off. This album was produced by the Dove Award winning 'Producer of the Year' Jason Ingram, and Rusty Varenkamp, who contribute their own style and quality to an already fantastic collection of songs.
From the word go the opening track Almost Missed The Moment drags you into the Revive world, catchy lyrics and amazing vocals from frontman Dave Hanbury. These great vocals are prominent all the way through the album with great musicianship from the rest of the band. Title track Blink has a contemporary pop feel to it, this song wouldn't be out of place being played on your local radio station. My Hope, Something Glorious and All Of This For You all have a flavor of rock-pop, well written melodies, sung from the heart.
There was one song on this album that I couldn't get my head around at first, Love Found Me, which I dismissed at first. It had this cheesy edge, the chorus went "I Found Love, and Love Found Me". But after a few listens I decided it was sort of indie/rock cheesy cool. An interesting track, make up your own mind when you hear it. We Were Meant to Be has the big power anthem sound pouring out of it, a great song and could of easily made it into my standout tracks. The albums ends with Welcome To Eternity which is the perfect beautiful ballad to end a terrific album.
What you gather from the very beginning of this album is that these songs can be listened to and enjoyed in many situation. Listening to this album in your bedroom or on your music player on the bus, in the car or just walking you will appreciate this collection of songs. Also on a live scale I could imagine an amazing stadium gig or even heading into a small gig venue, you would get a fantastic night out.
Revive have created a well crafted album that has catchy Christian pop rock songs. This is one album this year that has grown on me the more I have listened to it, this is defiantly worth checking out for yourself.
