Reading Worship Leader Emma Noonan Releasing Highly Anticipated Second Album 'Bricks and Mortar'
Reading worship leader Emma Noonan will be releasing her highly anticipated second album ‘Bricks and Mortar’ on 20th October 2023. The album, which was written from a place of worship, is a blend of alternative modern worship with a hint of indie-folk and pop. Some of the songs are contemplative; others are more upbeat with a lively dance vibe. Many of the tracks are deeply personal; however others are reimagined from alternative perspectives taken from well known Bible stories. The lyrics are deeply rooted in scripture and Emma’s vision is to communicate the love of God through Jesus Christ.
After launching her debut album ‘Within the Silence’ in July 2022, the second track in the playlist, ‘In Denial’, was put forward for the August 2022 Step Fwd UK Christian charts in the indie/folk section. She went on to release her first Christmas single, ‘Prince of Peace’, in October 2022, which was promoted on UCB2 during an interview with Ruth O’Reilly-Smith. Emma’s music has been gaining online momentum since releasing her first single ‘Faithful King’ in July 2021.
Emma’s second studio album, ‘Bricks and Mortar’, has been produced with her friend, professional recording artist, Phillip Goss at Appletree Studios in Aylesbury. The title of the album is taken from one of the songs, which is about drawing closer to God. The song is a plea to the Father to break through the bricks and mortar of the walls that we so often place around our hearts. It also draws on the album’s recurring motif of accepting God’s love, grace and guidance.
