When I was sent my latest list of albums for review my eye was immediately drawn to The OC Supertones. They are one of those Christian bands whose name I have heard batted around a lot as one of the legends and, after seeing them described on a news item on LTTM as a Ska band - I couldn’t wait.Admittedly my experience of Ska is pretty limited: I grew up listening to my Dad’s Madness records and I have No Doubt’s debut, very ska influenced, album but that’s pretty much it.
