Linda Boles Releases Second Single 'Long Before I Start'

Jan 29 2024

Linda Boles returns with her second single, 'Long Before I Start', available now on all streaming platforms. "I take great comfort in the fact that I don’t have to get it all together before I go to the Lord", confesses Linda.

"He always meets me where I am and accepts me flaws and all. When I pray, I don’t have to be concerned about having just the right words or whether He will understand. Jesus looks into my heart and He knows what I will say…Long Before I Start!"

Prayer is an essential part of the Christian life. Philippians 4:6-7 says “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”. “And we know that our father knows what we need before we ask Him”. Matthew. 6:8

Linda Boles is a lifelong musician who started performing in her family's bluegrass band, The Darden Family, gaining recognition in the 1950s and 1960s. She later played folk songs in coffeehouses, joined her brother's rock band, Black River Circus, and sang for military troops in Cuba. After marrying the band's bass player and having a daughter, tragedy struck in 1982 when her husband died unexpectedly.

Linda turned to songwriting, recording albums, and appearing on radio and TV, including The 700 Club.
