Cory Henry Releases First Gospel Album 'Church'

Apr 10 2024

Multi GRAMMY-winner Cory Henry recently released CHURCH, the first-ever Gospel album from the acclaimed singer, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and keyboard master, who’s created a 23-track experience that celebrates his musical roots and delivers a powerful dose of inspiration, joyful praise, and soulful reflection.

Cory - a musical prodigy who got his start at age two learning organ from his mother Marie Henry, a choir director and multi-instrumentalist - harkens back to growing up in Brooklyn, New York’s Unity Temple Church. From performing before his church congregation to his journey touring around the world for international audiences, Cory has brought his classic gospel roots and his modern sensibilities together on CHURCH. With a musical versatility from new singles like “Burdens Down” featuring renowned blues-rock guitarist Eric Gales.

Formerly a member of the multi GRAMMY-winning acclaimed jazz fusion group Snarky Puppy, Cory has made an influential and award winning mark with his talents across multiple genres, including jazz, R&B, Latin, funk, gospel and more, working with a range of artists including Rosalía (co-producer - Motomami, 2022 Album of The Year Latin GRAMMY Award winner), Kanye West (co-producer - Donda, 2022 Album of The Year GRAMMY Award nominee), Frank Ocean, Imagine Dragons, Jazmine Sullivan, among others.
