The Shimmering Carnelians Announces New EP 'Rise'
Independent songwriter Adam Michael, recording music under the name The Shimmering Carnelians, releases a new three-song EP titled 'Rise', available on streaming platforms from July 31.
Blending alternative rock, folk, and ambient music, the EP gives hope to those struggling with adversity.
Fans of Switchfoot, Jon Foreman, and The Violet Burning will enjoy this release.
'Rise' follows last year's release, 'The Doorway' a hard rock EP influenced by alternative rock and metal. The lyrics cover theological themes, from the origin of the universe to creative inspiration. The elements of the songs are drums, guitar, piano, and vocals.
Adam lives in the USA and says his main influences are alternative rock and metal. In the ancient middle east, people built memorials using stones, like carnelians, to give thanks and remember what God did for them.
Adam's hope is to use music as a platform to give thanks, and reach others through shared experiences.
