Sean Curran Announces Full-Length Album, Releases Two New Tracks

Jun 30 2024

sixstepsrecords/Capitol Christian Music Group's Sean Curran will release his first full-length studio project, Basic Faith, on August 9th. Today two new tracks from the upcoming debut are available along with the pre-order, the title track and his version of "He Who Is to Come," which was previously released on Passion's latest album, co-written by Curran with Cody Carnes and Kristian Stanfill.

"Jesus came to do more than get us into heaven, He came to get heaven into us,” shares Sean Curran about this album. “The idea that God wants to be discovered in our everyday lives is weaved throughout this album. I think we can tend to build in our imagination a world where we only relate to God in spectacular settings, but that is not where we spend most of our time. That’s why I like the word ‘Basic.' It’s less about simple or easy, and more akin to something like fundamental or foundational. Often we want something from faith that it isn’t trying to give us. Faith isn’t about knowing what’s around every corner, it's about trusting WHO is leading the way."

Although this is his first full-length studio project, Curran has established himself as a thoughtful and creative songwriter since his first record deal at 22 years old with the Billboard chart-ranking band Bellarive. Since 2018, he has been part of the sixstepsrecords family delivering a long list of songs such as "Bigger Than I Thought," "Glorious Day," "1000 Names" and most recently "He Who Is To Come." Known for his unique artistry, Basic Faith captures new styles and sounds that will give the listener a path to take them back to the fundamentals of their faith.
